Supervision

Clinical Supervision for Psychotherapists and Mental Health Professionals

I offer psychoanalytic clinical supervision, both individually and in groups, to psychotherapists, psychologists, counsellors, and other mental health practitioners working with children, adolescents, and adults.

Supervision aims to support clinical depth, professional development, and reflective capacity, helping practitioners sustain thoughtful work amid complexity, uncertainty, and the emotional demands of the work.

Professional Background in Supervision and Teaching

Alongside private practice, I have held extensive teaching, supervisory, and leadership roles within psychotherapy trainings and professional settings.

These have included:

  • Supervising intensive training cases on the doctoral-level child and adolescent psychotherapy programme at the Tavistock and Portman NHS Foundation Trust

  • Teaching psychoanalytic theory and work discussion seminars on master’s and doctoral trainings

  • Providing clinical supervision and consultation within NHS services and third-sector organisations, and establishing and supervising services in both primary and secondary schools

  • Supervising multidisciplinary professionals working in complex settings, including: A Residential Special Needs School; Fostering, Adoption and Kinship Care services; and teams supporting Unaccompanied Asylum-Seeking Children (UASC)

  • Co-founder and facilitator of the Difference; Identity; Diversity clinical workshop at the Tavistock, a year-long reflective space for psychotherapy trainees exploring clinical work in relation to race, culture, gender, sexuality, and class, integrating clinical, theoretical, and experiential perspectives

  • Course convenor and group analyst on an international training programme in group analysis, delivering teaching, supervision, and therapy groups for multidisciplinary mental health professionals, including small analytic groups, large groups, and group supervision

I am a Fellow of the Higher Education Authority (FHEA), recognising sustained teaching and supervision within higher education and professional training contexts.

Support with Clinical Writing and Professional Development

Alongside clinical supervision, I offer support with clinical writing, academic work, and professional development. As a former Editor of the Journal of Child Psychotherapy, I have extensive experience working with clinicians to develop and refine written work for publication or professional reflection.
